Russell Peters is back!
Funny man Russell Peters began his career at 19 years of stand-up scene around his hometown of Toronto, Ontario. Since then, Peters has traveled throughout the world, released two comedy specials, and has been repeatedly nominated for a number of awards for television and comedy.
Peters first special Russell Peters: subcontracting, have proved extremely popular, especially in Canada. Despite being entirely self-financed, this special DVD sold over 100,000 copies to date and managed to stay on the national picture DVD, even a year after its release.
In 2008, Peters hosted the Juno Awards. In addition to winning the Gemini Award nomination for best "performance or host in a variety program or series for her performance, Juno Awards III (in which he hosted), received the second largest ratings for the program. That was enough to encourage producers of the show to invite him back to host next year – this year – on March 29, 2009.
The last Canadian comedian has published its second (and) DVD Russell Peters: Red, White and Brown, February 2, 2008. The material for his next tour will not be this special, however, but of his early years as an actor unknown. Russell hopes to celebrating 20 years as a stand-up by remixing some of his biggest hits of last 20 years, plus any new hardware. "For this tour, I'll bring some oldies, but telling them new ways – ways that I wish I thought when I did. "

Excerpt: The 40th Grey Cup game was the Canadian Football Championship held on 29 November 1952. The Toronto Argonauts defeated the Edmonton Eskimos 21-11 at Toronto’s Varsity Stadium. An audience of 27 391 watched as acting Canadian Prime Minister C. D. Howe opened the game with a ceremonial football kickoff, where Edmonton Mayor William Hawrelak held the ball, and Toronto Mayor Allan Lamport was watching nearby. Hometown coach Frank Clair and his team enjoyed a decisive victory despite trailing in the first quarter. Edmonton coach Frank Filchock was dismissed soon after his team’s defeat. First quarter: Normie Kwong earned a touchdown for Edmonton at the 13:05 mark, the only score of the first quarter. Second quarter: Toronto took the lead when it earned six points from a touchdown by Nobby Wirkowski at 3:06, and a conversion by Red Ettinger, who would score again that quarter with a 3-point field goal at 11:35.
